The time difference between the before and after s

The time difference between the before and after shots is about a year. In that time, I bought and returned things that didn’t work out for this space, had a baby, lost all motivation to do any work on the house, went on side quests to work on other parts of the house that I mostly haven’t finished either, found my motivation to decorate the entryway after getting those spectacular candle sconces, tried 5 different runner rugs before landing on this rust red beauty that’s the exact color I dreamed of and PERFECT minus the very major detail that the closet door needs to be shaved shorter to accommodate the pile height 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

And here we are, our small space entryway that moved over to this wall in order to put a cabinet where the old entry table used to be. All we really needed was a spot to put our keys and sunglasses out of reach from tiny hands, and I craved a bold color runner to define the space. The runner is the moment! I’m in love!! One house project done!!!

In short, home takes time and it’s worth slowly collecting the things that make your heart soar.
